How long does shipping take?
Orders usually ship within 5–7 business days from Poulsbo, WA, flat in rigid USPS mailers. Shipping is a flat $7.90 (USPS Ground Shipping) for US addresses, and most orders arrive 8–12 business days after you order. That's an estimate, not a guarantee.
When will my order go out?
We print and pack in small batches, so most orders leave within 5–7 business days. Need it sooner? Leave a note at checkout or email us and we'll let you know what's realistic.
How do I take care of my prints?
Handle prints by the edges, keep them out of prolonged direct sun, and skip damp spots like bathrooms. Photo prints look best framed under glass or acrylic. Store extras flat somewhere cool and dry. Postcards have a protective coating for mailing and display, but they're still paper. Be kind to them.
What inks and paper do you use?
Prints are produced on heavyweight 300–400gsm cardstock and premium photo papers using Epson's 6-color Claria ET Premium inks (five photographic dye inks plus a pigment black) for rich, fade-resistant color. Color profiles are calibrated by hand. Want archival-grade prints? Reach out for special orders on premium fine-art media.
Are these mass-produced?
No. Everything is printed in limited runs and individually inspected before it leaves Poulsbo, WA.
What paper are the cards? Are they waterproof?
Postcards are heavyweight 300–400gsm cardstock with a UV/water-protective finish. That handles everyday mailing and handling, but they're not waterproof. Don't soak them or leave them out in the rain. Photo prints are premium photo paper, printed small-batch with Epson Claria ET Premium inks.
What postage do postcards need?
The 4" x 6" and 5" x 7" postcards are sized to mail with a stamp and a note on the back. A 4" x 6" usually qualifies for the USPS postcard rate; a 5" x 7" generally needs letter postage (a Forever stamp). Rates change, so double-check at usps.com before you mail.
What about refunds and returns?
If a print arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days with a photo and we'll send a replacement, no charge. Changed your mind? Reach out within 14 days of delivery. Items need to be unused and in original packaging, and return shipping is on you. Custom and signed items are final sale. Full details: shipping & returns. Email fieldworkpnw@gmail.com to get started.
Do you do custom or archival prints?
Yes. Archival fine-art media and sizes beyond the standard lineup are available by special order. See custom orders or email us with the size, paper, and image you have in mind.
Where do you ship?
US addresses by default. International shipping is available on request. Reach out before ordering so we can confirm rates and timing.
